Welcome to the City of Virginia Beach. A lively community with an average of 600k people and 900k calls for service. I welcome everyone to try it out and provide feedback below and things you like and things you want to see improved.

Virginia Beach ECCS on Sim Dispatcher now has an initial dispatcher guide available for new personnel joining the network.

This guide gives a general overview of how the Virginia Beach system is organized, how fire, EMS, police, marine, and aviation resources are modeled, and the operating doctrine dispatchers should follow when working incidents in the VB environment. It also explains our police post/zone model, station-based fire and EMS logic, specialty resource use, and common mistakes to avoid.

We are currently working on the next round of improvements, including expanded incident keyword logic, better recommendation behavior, cleaner reference enclosures, and continued refinement of the offline database that supports the live simulation environment.
