Welcome to St Clair County IL. This area is primarily covered by 3 dispatch centers and has a mix of rural and urban areas. Only 4 paid fire departments are present with majority being volunteer. There are 6 different ambulance services present, 2 large private and 4 municipality departments.

Medstar is responsible for covering East St Louis, Cahokia, the east end of Belleville (east of 29th street), east side of Fairview Heights (east of ruby lane), Freeburg, Smithton, Lebanon, and Scott air force base.

Abbott EMS is responsible for all non-emergency transfers as well as 911 coverage for the west end of Belleville (above 29th street), west end of Fairview heights (west of ruby lane), Caseyville, Fairmount city, State Park, Brooklyn, and Venice. Abbott has a dedicated unit in the city of Swansea, “SW100”. It sits at the fire station from 0630-1930 and should only be dispatched for calls in Swansea.

The 4 paid fire departments are Belleville, Scott Air Force Base, East St Louis, and Sauget. O’Fallon has 3 paid units (4341, 4349, 4300) the rest are volunteer.

2 helicopters are available to be called if needed.

This simulation features a mix of 911 and non- emergency transfers and is relatively busy.

Dupo has an ambulance, unit 2016 It is disabled in the suggestion system due to being picked for calls outside of service area. You will have to manually select it.

All Abbott units start at the base, if you would like to be realistic and improve response times you can post them. Create a new call, select the location as “Post 53” and the call type as either “Post” or “post-53”. You can then dispatch an Abbott unit. They will drive to the post and then remain there in status 2 until you give them a call or move them. The other post is the same process and it is listed as “Post 51 Fairview heights”
