Meldkamer Haaglanden - Regional Dispatch & Control Centre Haaglanden for Ambulance and Fire & Rescue Services

Welcome to the Regional Control Centre for the Haaglanden region in The Netherlands. This control centre offers both dispatching of EMS and Fire-Rescue units to the over 1 million residents of the Haaglanden area.

Vision

Rather than becoming a 100% realistic representation of real life, this control centre strives to become one easily accessible to players around the world, regardless of nationality (primary requirement is moderate understanding of the English language). Most of the real-life systems, keywords, unit types, etc have been ‚freely‘ translated into English to offer better understanding and accessibility. Feedback in this respect is very welcome.

In the post below (see forum) an explanation of keywords has been added as guidance how to effectively use these and deploy units. The system is based on always choose both an ‚Incident Descriptor‘ as well as a ‚Incident Priority Code‘. The latter determines what units will be dispatched.

Background Emergency Medical Services

The EMS System in The Netherlands neither deploys the Franco-German, nor the Anglo-American sytem of Emergency Medical Service provision. At this time all ‚emergency ambulances‘ are implemented as RTW/Amb type I units, while ‚patient transfer‘ ambulances are implemented as KTW/Amb type II units. Note also that currently the option is enabled where the system does not use/require emergency physicians. Testing and inquiries are currently in progress to test whether this is the most viable way to represent the Dutch system or not.
